Transceiver - RFPlayer
433MHz & 868MHz Signal Transceiver from GCE Electronics - RFPlayer RFP1000.
The Smart Home market is characterized by a set of radio products communicating from different brands that use various radio protocols and most of them are unable to communicate with each other. The RFP1000 has been developed to make accessible communicating radio products that use specific radio protocols and are often closed or incompatible with others. The RFP1000 participates in the great quest for INTEROPERABILITY.
The RFP1000 is therefore a new generation radio frequency dongle. The RFP1000 is a USB flash drive with 2 independent 433 MHz and 868 MHz radio frequency transceivers dedicated to Home Automation applications.
The RFP1000 can be used in 2 ways - plugged to a Home Automation Box, it will perform as a bidirectional radio GATEWAY to a multitude of Legacy Home Automation protocols. It can also be used as “PARROT - Learn & Play”, ie being able to recognize or generate unknown protocols that have been learned by the RFP1000.
Used in Stand Alone mode, it can then act as a Plug & Play REPEATER with the possibility to do a TRANSCODING on 32 voices a RF protocol to another protocol. You have the option to use the RFLINK format for the Radio Frequency frames exchange. By default after the factory pre-setting and if use in Stand Alone mode, the RFP1000 performs the Repeater Function.
RFP1000, the USB transceiver that making your home multilangual
Parrot - RFP1000 has other resources to handle protocols that are unknown to him. RFP1000 knows how to cooperate with the open source community through its interface compatible RFLINK.
RFP1000 saves the unknown frames radios and provides the software for analysis RFLINK box in the home automation. In addition, RFP1000 can transmit radio frames concocted by the RFLINK software.
If you teach him, PARROT will memorise with great precision the radio frequencies 433MHz and 868Mhz. PARROT just needs to listen, its understanding is phonetic. Subsequently, it will be able to recognize in real time when they appear on the air, all useful information for home automation box and will transmit them back to the box Automation opportunely. PARROT fits the unknown.
Repeater - Automation transmissions are subject to scope issue. This is due to phenomenon called “fading”, that can occur even in a relative proximity between the transmitter and receiver signal, and in intrinsic signal attenuation with distance.
In “stand-alone” mode, RFP1000 plugs into a 220V AC to USB power supply and will ensure repeater function, which will re-amplify the signal by significantly reducing the probability of fading. The range is therefore greatly increased and radiofrequency exchanges with improved reliability.
Repetition is smart: The frames are recognized and reshaped; RFP1000 expect the best moment to retransmit the signal to prevent radio frequency collision.
Transcoder - The TRANSCODER function enables the repeater to convert on the fly frames of a protocol to another protocol output, including those stored by PARROT. A single remote control with numerous channels can replace several remote controls from other manufacturers with fewer channels. A locked Automation box (without USB port) may extend the scope of its protocols covered. A new alarm, previously unreachable, can be take into account. Everyone wins in connectivity.
